Intelligence reports regarding Sinopian warships
Daya Laksamana (Honourable Warlord).Type: Battleship. Displacement: 7,220 Imperial tons. Length: 324 ft 5 in (98.89 m). Beam: 59ft (17.98 m). Draught: 20ft (6.1 m). Propulsion: 2 x shaft reciprocating triple expansion steam engine, 2 x Boilers. Speed: 15.4 knots (17.7 mph; 28.5 km/h). Complement: 363 Officers and men. Armament: 4 × 12 in (305 mm) guns. 2 × 5 in (150 mm) guns. 6 × 1 in (37 mm) guns. 3 × torpedo tubes. Armour: Belt: 14 in (355 mm). Barbettes: 12 in (305 mm).
Considered to be the pride of the Sinopian Navy, Daya Laksamana was launched in 2164 and she is currently the Flag Ship of Admiral Habishayan Thran, commanding officer of the Crimson Fleet. Latest reports place her in the Saqsin Sea where her home port is Tanasari on the Tanaserim Peninsula. The current commanding officer of the Daya Laksamana is thought to be Captain Kushik Varman.
Malaikat (Celestial Angel).
Type: Inferior battleship. Displacement: 3,717 Imperial tons. Length: 220 ft (67 metres). Beam: 48 ft (14.63 metres). Draught: 18 ft (5.49 metres). Propulsion: 2 x shaft reciprocating triple expansion steam engine. 8 x Boilers. Speed: 13 knots (24 km/h). Complement: 377 Officers and men. Armament: 4 x 9-inch (233.7 mm) guns. 6 x 6-inch (152.4 mm) guns. 6 x 3-inch (76.2 mm) guns. 2 x Quadruple machine guns. 2 x 14 in (355.6 mm) torpedos. Armour: Belt: 4 - 9 in (100-230 mm). Battery: 8 in (203 mm). Bulkheads: 6 in (152 mm).
Launched in 2152, Malaikat is generally considered to be obsolete and would not pose much of a threat by herself. As consort to Daya Laksamana however, Malaikat increases the strength of the Crimson Fleet by a significant degree and her movements are watched carefully. Currently she is docked in Tanasari on the Tanaserim Peninsula and as long as she remains in port, the Crimson Fleet is not seen as being on a war footing. It is not currently known who her commanding officer is.
Naga (Dragon)
Type: Coastal defense ship. Displacement: 4,971 Imperial tons. Length: 286 ft 5 in (87.3 m). Beam: 52 ft (15.85 m). Draught: 19 ft 4 in (5.9 m). Propulsion: 2 x shaft vertical triple expansion steam engine. 4 x 8 cylindrical coal-fired boilers. Speed: 16 knots (18 mph; 30 km/h). Complement: 384 Officers and men. Armament: 4 x 10 in (254 mm) guns. 4 × 4.7 in (120 mm) guns. 6 ×2 in (47 mm) 3-pounder guns. 10 × 1.5 in (37 mm) 1-pounder guns. Armour: Belt: 4–10 in (102–254 mm). Decks: 2–3 in (51–76 mm). Turrets: 8 in (203 mm). Conning tower: 8 in (203 mm).
Not quite a battleship, but with her heavy armour and big guns, Naga certainly presents a serious threat to any ship which comes within her range. Designed for defensive rather than offensive fighting, she can nonetheless be used to bombard coastal defences and ground forces, and she is currently based at Tanasari with other vessels of the Crimson Fleet. Launched in 2178 Naga is believed to be in excellent condition. She is commanded by the decorated veteran Captain Sarukashan Zangar.
Pangeran Api (Prince of the Flames) and Tuan Luat (Ruler of the Sea)
Type: Protected cruisers. Displacement: 4,979 Imperial tons. Length: 374 ft (114.1 m). Beam: 48 ft 11 in (14.9 m). Draft: 17 ft 9 in (5.41 m). Propulsion: 2 × Vertical triple-expansion steam engines. 12 × boilers. 2 × shafts. Speed: 22.5 kn (41.7 km/h; 25.9 mph). Complement: 405 Officers and men. Armament: 2 × 8 in (203 mm) guns. 10 × 4.7 in (120 mm) guns. 12 × 3-inch (76.2 mm) guns. 6 × 1.9 in (47 mm) guns. 4 × 14 in (360 mm) torpedo tubes. Armour: Deck: 4.4 in (112 mm). Gun shield, front: 8 in (203 mm). Gun shield, sides: 2.4 in (62 mm). Conning Tower: 4.5 in (115 mm).
Launched in 2177 and 2178, these two sister ships are both assigned to the Crimson Fleet. Tuan Luat's where abouts are currently unknown and she is believed to be some where on the Northern coast of Sinopia, but not at the Tanasari naval base. Pangeran Api was recently observed cruising as far abroad as the Mugab Sea with at least one torpedo gun boat consort (possibly a Capung class). Intelligence estimates their range at 4,000 nmi (7,400 km; 4,600 mi) at 10 kn (19 km/h; 12 mph). Pangeran Api is reported to be commanded by Captain Ehalai Thran (eldest son of Admiral Habishayan Thran).
