Built at the Cannard and Burnsharp shipyard in Aquilea, Majestic was launched in 2160. She was originally planned to serve in the First Imperial Battle Group, but when that squadron was replaced by the Grand Fleet in the Navy Reformations of 2164, Majestic was reassigned to the Northern fleet as flagship. Currently the only battleship in service in nothern waters, Majestic is an active symbol of Regnia's regional domination. In 2188, Majestic's commanding officer is Captain Jaime Sobillatore under Admiral Sir Oliver Shardfox.

Majestic's machinery was built by the Scarsa-Manodopera Locomotive and Machine Works of Montegallo. She has two inverted vertical triple expansion steam engines with a total designed output of 8,610 indicated horsepower (6,420 kW). Each engine drives one propeller shaft. Four double-ended marine boilers provide steam to the engines at a working pressure of 175 psi (1,210 kPa; 12.3 kgf/cm2). On trials in 2160, she reached a speed of 17.8 knots (33.0 km/h; 20.5 mph), exceeding her contract speed of 17 knots (31 km/h; 20 mph). She carries a maximum load of 796 tons of coal. Majestic carries two Kettlesun electric dynamos to power her searchlights and provide interior lighting.
